Equi-Librium Therapy Center Volunteer Spotlight

Ashley Sharp, Volunteer Coordinator

At Equi-Librium Therapy Center, we are grateful for the time and effort our 200+ volunteers put in and love to praise their hard work. For Spring sessions, we are excited to welcome our new Volunteer Coordinator, Ashley Sharp!

We sat down with Ashley to learn about her and how she found ETC!

"The joy they have on their faces is what makes all your problems from the day fade away."

"The joy they have on their faces is what makes all your problems from the day fade away."

How did you find out about ETC?

- I found out about ETC through Pre-Occupational Therapy Club at MSU. One of the members talked about her internship here, and I instantly knew this was the place I needed to be.

What is the favorite part about being out at ETC?

- My favorite part about being at ETC is definitely the kids! When they come in and you see the excitement on their faces when they see the horses. The joy they have is what makes all your problems from the day fade away.

Tell us about college. Major, year, career aspirations?

- Currently I am a senior at Missouri State University. I will be graduating in May with a degree in Exercise and Movement Science. I will be continuing my education to become an Occupational Therapist. I hope to work with children with disabilities and patients with neural trauma.

If you were an animal what would you be?

- If I was an animal I would a dog, specifically an english bulldog.  This is because my english bulldog gets to play, eat, and sleep all day with no worries in the world. He is also spoiled rotten and adorable, so I think his life would be pretty great!

Thank you Ashley for all your hard work!
